# Highlight Sold-Out Products with an 'Out of Stock' Label

Keeping your Buyers informed about product availability is essential for a smooth shopping experience. In Turis, you can enable an **"Out of stock"** label to automatically appear on products when their stock level reaches zero. This guide will walk you through how to activate and customize this label to match your brand.

## Accessing the Products Section

To manage product settings, start by clicking on **⚙️ Settings** in the menu on the left-hand side. Then, click on **Products**.

Once inside the Products section, you will see nine subcategories:

-   **New products** 
-   **Out of stock**
-   **Backorders** 
-   **Stock visibility** 
-   **Sort options** 
-   **Product card** 
-   **Shipping motivator** 
-   **Buyer data export** 
-   **Favorites**

The following sections explain how to use the **Out of stock** label feature.

## Out of Stock Label

Just like the **New** label highlights new products, the **Out of stock** label allows you to indicate when a product is no longer available. The label is automatically triggered when a product’s stock level reaches **0**.

🔔 **Please note:** If **backorders** are enabled, the **Out of stock** label will **not** be displayed, even when the stock level reaches **0**.

To customize this label, navigate to **Out of stock** under **Products**. A settings window will appear where you can adjust its text and design.

## Customizing the Label

-   **Text**: The default label text is **"Out of stock"**, but you can personalize it to better fit your brand’s tone. You have a maximum of **24 characters**.
-   **Colors**: Adjust the background and text colors of the label.
    -   Click on the **color box** to open the color picker.
    -   Drag the color selector to find the shade you prefer, or enter a **Hex color code** for precise branding.
    -   The same customization options apply to the label text color.

Once you have completed your customizations, **remember to click "Save"** to apply the changes.

## What Does It Look Like in My Shop?

When a product runs out of stock, the label will be displayed directly on the product card, making it clear to Buyers that the item is currently unavailable.
