When setting up new products, variants, and categories, it is often useful to preview your buyer-side to ensure everything is configured correctly. Accessing the buyer-side can be done in multiple ways, depending on your needs. In this article, we will explore the different options for viewing the buyer-side and their key differences.

How can I access a preview of my shop

You can access your buyer-side in two primary ways:

1. Using Shop Preview

The Shop Preview feature is a quick way to see your buyer-side directly from the product page.

How to Access Shop Preview:

  • Navigate to Products > Products in your Admin panel.
  • Locate the Shop Preview button in the top left corner.
  • Click the button, and a pop-up will appear, giving you two options:
    • Choose a company: Select a specific company to view the shop as they would see it.
    • Continue without choosing a company: Click "Go to Shop Preview" to view a general version of your shop.

Limitations of Shop Preview

  • If you continue without selecting a company, the preview may not reflect retailer-specific discounts, Special Price Lists, or other buyer-specific settings.
  • Checkout is not available in Shop Preview since this function is not meant for placing orders.

2. Using Create Order

The Create Order feature allows you to see the shop as a specific retailer and even place test orders on their behalf.

How to Access Create Order:

You can find this function in three different locations:

  • Admin Sidebar (Quick access to order creation)
  • Users > Retailers (To select a specific retailer before previewing)
  • Orders > Orders (For order management and test purchases)

Benefits of Using Create Order

  • You can see the shop exactly as a retailer would, including personalized discounts and pricing.
  • Unlike Shop Preview, this option allows you to place test orders to ensure the entire buying process works as expected.

Final Tips

  • If your shop uses Special Price Lists, discounts, or custom retailer settings, always use Create Order for a more accurate preview.
  • Remember that Shop Preview does not include checkout, so test your checkout flow separately if needed.
  • Regularly preview your shop after making changes to ensure your buyers get the best experience.

By using these preview options effectively, you can ensure your B2B shop in Turis is set up exactly as intended for your buyers.
