How to Manage and Overwrite Translations in Turis

This article describes how you can manage the translations on your shop or change certain wordings.

In Turis, you have the flexibility to overwrite the pre-defined default translations with just a few simple clicks. This allows you to adjust the wording and tone to match your preferences.

🔔 Please note: Product names, descriptions, and other custom content are NOT translated. Only the default texts and phrases within Turis are available for translation.

Additionally, these translations are visible only to your Buyers and Sales Agents on the shopping page of your Turis shop.


Step-by-Step Guide

  • Access the Manage Translations Section
    To begin, navigate to the Settings > Manage Translations. A window like the one below will appear.
  • Translation Overview
    The snapshot below shows a preview of some of the translations you can manage. By scrolling down, you can view all the available translations.
  • Change Language
    By default, the language is set to English. To change the language, click on the dropdown menu and select the language you’d like to modify the translations for. In this example, we will continue with English.
  • Editing Translations
    To change a phrase, simply edit the text in the white box. For instance, if you want to change “All Products” to “All Our Products,” just type "Our" into the sentence.
  • Reverting Changes
    If you wish to revert to the original default text, click the blue Revert button on the left. This will restore the default wording.
  • Saving Changes
    Once you’ve made your desired changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to apply the changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this affect the language of emails sent from Turis?

No, the translations you modify here do not affect emails sent from Turis. All emails are always sent in English by default, regardless of the translations set in the shop.
